About Me

My photo
All my work in the past prepared me for the "toughest job I'll ever love"- Mommy! So what do I do? I drown in laundry Marvel at how dishes & clutter can multiply- socks subtract. Repetitive tasks? Sweep several times a day. Find I'm folding laundry cleaning up the same books and toys so often&in the same place in some weird kind of deja vu. &in between I teachinspirelistenplay w/my little one. Thus the name of my blog-Math for Mommies: Add the number of times your child has lost his shoes made a mess brought home a stray bug as a pet surprised you delighted you while making you tear your hair out too! & of course subtract the # of good nights sleep you'll lose the er date nights you will no longer get &multiply by the things you'll forget & though it makes no sense: you've got mommy math. Really I'm not so great at things like math & the like yet I attract those who are-friends and exes - math/physics/computer geeks. Opposites attract&all that! What I really want is someone good w/words n all that- Artists, musicians&free thinkers-pls apply

Ever give to others for your birthday?

Every year people either dread or look forward to their birthday. I say, the alternative is worse! I like sending my mom flowers and more and for my birthday, after all, it was her who carried me for nine months and delivered me to the world. Now that I've gone through labour myself, this ritual seem seven more important. Who better to celebrate your birthday with as well but your parents?

There's an individual who prefers giving to charity for birthdays and this year, he's giving away a complete Dell System. You can check out his great sweepstakes and enter to win here:

Here are the specs for the system:

  • Dell Dimension E510 Desktop Computer
  • Windows XP, Service Pack 3
  • Microsoft Office 2003 (Excel, Word, Powerpoint and all that)
  • It has a 3.00 GHz Intel Processor, 500mb of RAM
  • 17″ Flat Panel Monitor
  • HP All-in-one Printer, Scanner, Fax PSC 1210v
  • Speakers
  • Keyboard
  • Microsoft Wireless Mouse
  • cables, wires, and plugs needed
I know for me, this would be a great win. My husband is on the computer whenever he's home for his work and since I'm studying for my Nationals in Massage Therapy, and its been awhile as I've had a baby between learning the body from the cellular level up in school and now so I really need to study...and since I'm going to need CEUs each year, and this year my classes will be in Manual Lymphatic Drainage so I can work in complement to an Oncology Department..having a computer to access my work anywhere will be useful. In addition to various Massage Modalities I will be taking courses in Morita Therapy so all in all the computer will be helpful.

I also want to start blogging more and working on my other writings/mixed media. Long overdue. Right now my "collection" is more fire hazard then hobby and want to transform them into published work.

Why would you want to win?

Good luck and have a fortuitous day.
