I'm a woman who believes that we can all change the world; one blog, one kind word, one helping hand at a time. We can create ripples; producing new waves of strength and hope to our lives and the lives of those around us...

We don't have to be politicians, millionaires or those otherwise in more widely recognized positions of power - to be empowered and to empower others.

When we give of ourselves we nurture the spirit of giving in our world, planting a seed that inspires an effort in individuals to be more then we are; giving us an opportunity to think beyond ourselves and our own lives. It can start a stir in the World Wide WEB of connection we are all tangled up in.

When we have a boss, a mom, a partner who is negative, this can often bring out the same in us, conversely one kind word can set in motion a flow of such positive gifts that can have the power to override this "kick the dog system" and replace it with something that can effect someone else's day and in turn those around them...and if enough participate...the world.

Myself, I want my life and my career to embody this philosophy. I have dreamed of being a healer since I was a small child, where my sleeping hours would sometimes be filled with images of my hands holding an outpouring of white light. I want to have my own practice where I combine massage that is more movement therapy, sensory integration, Hypnotherapy,breath therapy, and Morita Therapy (which, rather then talk therapy is about getting off your er padded um couch, and doing - whatever it is you want to and feel you can't). Sounds like a lot but each is complimentary of the other.

A practice with a special mission; teach people how to Relax and include balance in their lives. This is also the subject of a book I will one day write and perhaps seminars I will have. . Many people think they know how to relax yet can't sleep, have high blood pressure, and stressful lives. They replace their body's natural ability with chemicals and pursuits that empty out their spirit. And others feel that there is no time to relax in their drive to succeed or put food on the table. I feel, and want to show, in my practice and my book, that the Art of Relaxation can help you stress less and profit more and in the process not alienate your family or never see them.

I think of it as Spiritual CPR - for everyone from Executives to Moms. The last perhaps is a primary target audience. What many in caregiving professions (moms, teachers, nurses) don't realize is that the airlines have it exactly right. You know when the personnel tell you that should the need arise, give yourself oxygen first and then your child. So true in the spiritual sense as well. What isn't mentioned is how oxygen - breathing and how you do it is conducive to relaxation, concentration and so much more, in order to have more of yourself to give to others, its important to take a few breaths on your own.

So that you too, can be empowered to change lives, create waves, and provide a wind to stir up this world enough to make some positive change.

Special Random Tip: Want to indulge yourself or give the gift of relaxation to someone else but don't have a lot of money to spend? Take yourself or a friend to an accredited Massage Therapy School. The students will just have finish a rigorous course of study learning the body from the cellular level up. Schooling meant to prepare them both for the intense licensing exam and their own practice. And to weed out those not serious or not meant for this path.

Massage therapy not your thing? Try an Aveda School for some beautiful natural hair colouring and style. No harsh chemicals. Ask about other treatments as well. I've had my a luxurious facial which included a very healing massage. The price, like that of massage schools is lower - and if you use their exercise equipment to power their electricity - you get even more of a discount. That way, you can take care of both your exercise and your pampering for the day.

Spring is here! I'm very excited because spring is the time of new beginnings. And @ two, my little one is reveling in one of his first springs. His excitement over trees flowering and all the "buggies" - ants, butterflies etc - and the opportunity to be out all day - or as long as I can stay away from being inside studying or cleaning is very exciting for him. We currently live in NM and it is fairly new to all of us and I can't wait to take him to the zoo, hiking, to ice caves and pueblos. And right now we walk a few miles to the nearest park.

It can be hard though on a daily base you know those days - just about every one! - that your kids beg you to take them to the park and you're too busy or too tired - or maybe you don't have one close by? Going on their own in this day and age, in most places, isn't always an option.

My family would love to win this set as I'm a non-driver, I think its Dyspraxia that keeps me from it and sometimes as a new, older mom, walking a few miles to the park isn't in the cards. Something that won't stand up to the next 12+ years of play? I would love to win this for my little one to play on, to save me precious study/house work time I lose walking to the park (I do my cardio with comcast programs and running after my toddler), and to save my husband frustration putting together another less superior product. This is something, even though my husband is a military contractor, we can't afford on our right now. I'm a SAHM who appreciates the sweetness and importance of staying home (and its actually more expensive to go to work right now) but it means we have to be frugal as far as huge purchase items like this for the next few years.

I was entering a giveaway for what sounds like a great work at home resource book. The question entrants must answer is what kind of work do you do?

What? Now or in the past? I've suffered through the monotony of data entry work and reception duties - but for me it was more like reveled. As much as I love trying new things, like dropping everything and moving cross country with one suitcase of clothes, the other of my writings with little else save a plane ticket and job offer for care taking...for houses and people, I actually enjoy some repetitive tasks.

I've also worked for different kinds of weight loss centers - I really enjoy partnering with others to guide them towards their goals. I worked both as consultant/counselor/priestly confessor where I encouraged, inspired and listened and Program Director - introducing clients to the program, sales to some. And let's not forget my stint on a hot springs resort (clothing optional in the hot springs - I shock myself just thinking about it) where I both answered phones and scrubbed toilets.

And more recently, I learned the body from he cellular level up for Massage Therapy, completing everything just in time for booking passage for my little Indigo and providing comfy transport for him for nine months before delivering him to the world. At 36. I finished school just in time as my mind turned to mush during my pregnancy and is only very slowly getting back to normal and its two years later. Like my likely atrophied muscles, my brain is gathering dust and stiffening up, and needs a good housecleaning and regular opportunities to tone and flex its muscles.

All of the "careers" I've had help prepare me for the "toughest job I'll ever love". Motherhood. I never thought it would happen that I'd want it, could give lists of reasons why it would never happen. Not to me. Yet there I was, first time out trying, I caught, goal, touchdown, but no rabbit died as test methods have improved. I think. I hope.

So what do I do? I drown in laundry, I marvel at how dishes and clutter can multiply while socks subtract. Repetitive tasks? I sweep several times a day. Clean up the same books and toys just as many times or more and find my self folding laundry in the same places in some weird kind of deja vu. And in between I encourage, inspire, listen and play with my little one.

I love my little snoogs yet yearn for the day I get a break, go back to work, take a breath on my own, pee on my own, scratch my nose on my own. And then I immediately feel guilty for these thoughts! My husband works swing and is addicted to World of Warcraft, not much of an interactor and really doesn't understand kids. Expecting him to be perfectly behaved without baby proofing anything so that when he's not, when he touches his game players (to get attention - he looks right at his dad and when his dad ignores him he chatters or makes noise) so that most of his dad's time with him is spent saying and yelling the word, no. So I mostly stay with him 24/7 except when I need a shower or if Daniel is home and RK engrossed in Sponge Bob or a game, I will nurse a migraine in the dark.

How do I justify going back to work? I need to pay for both study materials and my exam yet most of my check will be spent on childcare, transportation and taxes. And eventually be independent enough to manage my own household's money...be free to make decisions for myself and my child. So I wait. Biding my time. Trying to be the best mommy I can. Ripples in the WEB, bringing help on the winds of change

I'm a stay at home housewife and mom who believes that we can all change the world; one blog, one kind word, one helping hand at a time. We can create ripples; producing new waves of strength and hope to our lives and the lives of those around us...

We don't have to be politicians, millionaires or otherwise in more widely recognized positions of power - to be empowered and to empower others.

It should be said that giveaways like this nurture the spirit of giving in our world, inspires an effort in individuals to be more then we are; giving us an opportunity to think beyond ourselves and our own lives. I hope for both the winners and the challengers, this will start a stir in the World Wide WEB of connection we are all tangled up in.

That said, I feel its important to the flow of such a gift to share it. I would like to share it with a certain Japanese Buddhist who was recently ordained. My sister embodies the spirit of giving (of herself) everyday. She has a business as coach, consultant - and mentor, "Helping People and Non-Profits Thrive!". Because of her RSI injuries, she hates computers but they are vital to her day to day work I know her computer is older and she can certainly use a new one which will support voice activated use just as I know that her own computer will go to someone who needs it. If there is someone else in need besides herself, she is the one who will know another person to gift one to as well.

As for myself, two of these computers will enable me to continue my study of Massage Therapy Modalities (I've already completed my primary schooling and only need to take my Nationals to obtain my license) which will include techniques such as Manual Lymph Drainage to complement an Oncology Department.

However, eventually, I want to have my own practice where I combine Thai Massage, Lomi Lomi, Hypnotherapy,breath therapy, and Morita Therapy (which, rather then talk therapy is about getting off your er couch, and doing - whatever it is you want to and feel you can't).

A practice with a special mission; teach people how to Relax and include balance in their lives. This is also the subject of a book I'm writing. Many people think they know how to relax yet can't sleep, have high blood pressure, and stressful lives. And others feel that there is no time to relax in their drive to succeed or put food on the table. I feel, and want to show in my practice and my book, that the Art of Relaxation can help you stress less and profit more and in the process not alienate your family or never see them.

I think of it as Spiritual CPR - for everyone from Executives to Moms. The last perhaps is a primary target audience. What many in caregiving professions (moms, teachers, nurses) don't realize is that the airlines have it exactly right. You know when the personnel tell you that should the need arise, give yourself oxygen first and then your child. So true in the spiritual sense as well. What isn't mentioned is how oxygen - breathing and how you do it is conducive to relaxation, concentration and so much more, in order to have more of yourself to give to others, its important to take a few breaths on your own.

The Touch Smart and mini computer will help me in both my studies and my writing - my pursuits, that, like this contest, will start ripples in the lives of others.

So that I too, can be empowered to change lives, create waves, and provide a wind to stir up this world enough to make some positive change.

Take yourself or a friend to an accredited Massage Therapy School. The students will just have finish a rigorous course of study learning the body from the cellular level up. Schooling meant to prepare them both for the intense licensing exam and their own practice. And to weed out those not serious or not meant for this path.

Every year people either dread or look forward to their birthday. I say, the alternative is worse! I like sending my mom flowers and more and for my birthday, after all, it was her who carried me for nine months and delivered me to the world. I know for me, this would be a great win.
